We spent seven years learning how to say what we already did.

This domain was the first Voltey website. Before the platform, before the partners, before anyone in Bangkok or Vientiane had heard of us, there was a founder, a spare evening, and a name that translates roughly to "just take the eSIM."

eSIM Lelo

/ee-sim ˈlay-lo/ · noun, but mostly a command

  1. Hindi, imperative. "Le lo" — take it. Have it. It's yours.
  2. A brand name that works perfectly across roughly one and a half countries.
  3. What a founder says at a trade fair, three coffees deep, holding a QR code.
  4. Also acceptable: "please take it," "seriously, take it," "I will install it for you."

Upside: nobody who heard it ever forgot it. Downside: a procurement officer in Hamburg once asked, very politely, whether Lelo was a person.

The route

Three stops, seven years, one product that barely changed. Only the sign on the front did.

2019 · ORIGIN

eSIM Lelo

A domain, a logo made at 2am, and total conviction. The pitch was one word long and the word was "lelo."

Charming · unscalable

THE MIDDLE YEARS

Simfinity

SIM plus infinity. Sounded like a spacecraft. Split neatly into two brands — one for travellers, one for partners — which meant explaining ourselves twice, forever.

Serious · slightly out of breath

2026 · ARRIVAL

Voltey

Six letters. One domain. Travel eSIMs, white-label franchise and IoT under a single roof. Connect anywhere. Power anyone.

Finally · say it once

Names that did not make it

Recovered from a notes app, a whiteboard, and one napkin that should have been thrown away sooner.

SimSimOpened doors. Closed exactly zero deals.
RoamingHaiHalf Hindi, half German greeting, fully confusing.
DataDeDoRead it out loud once. That's why.
ConnectKaroGreat in Delhi. Silent everywhere else.
eSIM BhaiWarm, friendly, and legally a person's nickname.
InfinisimThe .com was $14,000. We were not.

Same team. Same obsession. Better spelling.

This page is a museum. The product is next door and it is open.
